Service Leadership Programs

The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos is proud to sponsor service leadership programs at each Los Alamos public school and the New Mexico School for the Deaf. Service leadership programs are leadership and character-building programs hosted in a school and sponsored by a Kiwanis Club. Kiwanis International has programs for students from elementary school through college.

In our LAPS elementary schools and NM School for the Deaf, we sponsor K-Kids. The K-Kids motto is “Young Leaders Helping Others”. Each K-Kids club has a school-based faculty advisor and a Kiwanis advisor from our Club.

At Los Alamos Middle School we sponsor a Builders Club. The motto of Builders Club is “Building Leaders”, and their mission is to provide members with learning and experiences to build character, contribute through service, and develop leadership.

For over 70-years, the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos has sponsored the LAHS Key Club. Key Club is the oldest and largest high school based community service organization. The motto of Key Club is “Caring – Our Way of Life”, and their core values are Leadership, Character Building, Caring, and Inclusiveness.
