The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos has been the charter organization for Venture Crew 20 (previously known as Explorer Post 20) for decades. Generations of Los Alamos youth have experienced the thrill of climbing, rafting and skiing, thanks to this Scouting program. We are very proud of the work the Crew Leaders do teaching Los Alamos young people adventure skills and leadership.
Venture Crew is “a co-ed, youth-led program within Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) for young adults aged 14–20 (or 13 and graduated 8th grade). It focuses on high-adventure activities, outdoor experiences, and, importantly, personal development, allowing members to plan their own adventures and gain leadership skills”.
