Boys and Girls Committee

Through our Boys and Girls Committee, Kiwanis is proud to provide financial and volunteer support to youth programs serving the Los Alamos community. For decades, the committee has helped many organizations in the county.

In 2025, the Boys and Girls Committee provided funding and/or volunteers for:

  • the Family YMCA to support their scholarship program, which offers after-school care and sports camps to children with demonstrated need.
  • Los Alamos Senior Appreciation Night, an important program aimed at keeping LAHS seniors engaged and safe on their graduation night.
  • the Family Strengths Network, which provides education, support groups, and activities to all types of families, parents, teens, and children.
  • the JJAB, which works to reduce youth risk behaviors, facilitate positive youth development, and build resiliency through responsive, effective programming.

Organizations and programs serving youth in Los Alamos County interested in our support can complete a Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos Request for Support and return it, along with supporting documentation, to [email protected].

“FSN is grateful for the generosity of the Kiwanis Club. In past years, Kiwanis Club has helped fund We Help Ourselves (WHO), Special Saturdays, Family Festival and the Family Resource Center. Programs supported by Kiwanis Club in the past have served the early childhood population, elementary children and special needs children”–Mitsi Pair Willard, Family Strengths Network
